We began this Season of Advent with an invitation to pause, prepare, and wait. We approach the end of this season asking God to make God's ways known to us; to teach us God's paths; to guide us in God's truth; and to teach us. We conclude by affirming that the Living God is both our God and our personal savior.

Present before the threshold of the Christmas season, what is stirring within you? What will you leave on this side of the threshold? What will cross the threshold with you? What new questions do you have for God?

Has your discernment or your situation revealed something different? Are you in a season of life that is better served by continuing to pause, prepare, and wait? If your response to either question is "yes," breathe deeply. Inhale.

Exhale. Being truthful to ourselves is an important act of nonviolence. Be at peace.
